Academy Session

COLLEGE SOCCER DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY will focus on developing the essential tools to perform technically and efficiently to achieve your highest tactical purpose consistently for performance.

TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT All technical aspects of the game with an emphasis on using both feet for ball control, dribbling, individual moves, weight of pass, turning with the ball, driving, bending, chipping, outside of the foot and heading.

TACTICAL Principals of individual decision making for team performance with attacking and defending to execute consistent tactical purpose with all aspects of the game. 

PLAYER SPECIFIC ROLE/POSITIONING TRAINING Focusing on the players role in their position to support the team’s overall style and system of play.

SET PIECES ATTACKING/DEFENDING Developing the Free Kick Technique direct on goal, wide and central areas to play. Corner Kick technical service to attack with an emphasis on runs, short options and team shape. Defending Corner Kick shape zoning players and marking. Defensive Free Kick walls with the appropriate numbers and holding line with wide and central situations.

PHYSICAL Speed and agility, strength training, increasing endurance, anaerobic capacity and injury prevention.

MENTAL Psychological aspects of competition, practice, game preparation, emotional control to be composed in all environments.

NUTRITION/HYDRATION Daily focus on fueling your body with the appropriate foods and hydration to achieve the maximize performance.
